The castle and the old town with its narrow streets and small piazzas, arched stone doorways, boutiques, galleries, cafes, restaurants and gelaterias are popular with day-trippers arriving and departing on regular ferries. A couple of old churches with frescoes help to keep the balance between the commercialism and the natural beauty of the resort.

During sunlight the water sports prove a popular activity. Equally popular is visiting the olive and wine museums and the odd game of Tennis. There is a Golf course about 9 miles away. Regular ferries do trips to other resorts on the lake, all serving drink and some even food.

In the evening you are limited to a couple of dancing places and you may find piano bars in some hotels.

There are plenty of small restaurants and pizzerias in interesting settings. Excellent lake fish is served along with truffles, a selection of local cheese and honey.

Take a tour of the lake by coach with short boat trip included.

Visit fantastic Italian cities like Verona and Venice, or maybe The Dolomites, Florence or Milan which are just an excursion away!
