The nearest sandy beach is that at one of the resort's de luxe hotels; it's open to the public and has loungers and sun umbrellas available for rent. Limited choice of water sports, including pedalloes.
For shopping there is a couple of minimarkets, catering more for the needs of the local residents.
During the daytime activities include exploring Corfu Town and the local area, including the Byzantine church of Saints Jason and Sosipater, the 5th-century Palaeopolis Basilica and the ancient Temple of Artemis; Mon Repos Palace (where Prince Philip was born) is closed to the public.
The nightlife here revolves around hotels; but it is only a short taxi ride into Corfu Townfor a more varied evening.
For eating out there are a few bars and restaurants; otherwise, it's the hotels or Corfu Town.
