The beach is a long curve of light sand with quite an appealing view of the headland. The sea is meditteranean blue and is safe for children to swim.
For shopping there is the usual tourist tat and overpriced supermarkets. The more serious shoppers make the short trip to Bodrum, where the shopping experience can be 'in your face'
During the daytime there is the beach, some exhilerating water sports which include dinghy hire, water-skiing, windsurfing and parasailing. The nightlife here consists of competing clubs and discos which pushes prices down, or give you loads of free drinks on your night out, and there is a casino at Cesars for the gamblers amongst us.
For food here you will find more fast-food and snack outlets than most places. There is a good supply of traditional restaurants with outside terraces, but the choice is less, prices tend to be higher than in Bodrum.
