Larger hotels on the outskirts cater for all market types, especially families, while the centre is really only suitable for the young.
Accommodation here ranges from the larger A-class hotels, which offer a wide range of facilities to very basic, small hotels and rooms which are available in the centre.
The popular 4-ml-long sandy beach extending the length of the resort has a full range of water sports; sun umbrellas and sunbeds available. Although the beach is a favourite amongst visitors it can packed like sardines in season.
Shopping options here aren't great, local shops offer cheap tourist souvenirs. Better shopping options in Rhodes Town.
Daytime activities in Faliraki tend to be 'beach' based for the families and 'bar' based for the youngsters. In the summer by night Faliraki's thoughtfully named 'Club Street' and 'Bar Street' come to life and whilst the action is set only on 2 streets there is no shortage of places to boogie. In the winter you'd be forgiven in thinking these two streets were a ghost town.
