My husband and I decided to take a short winter break in this 4 star hotel situated right on the beach at Roquetas De Mar. We had never been to this area before and were very pleasantly surprised with the outstanding cleanliness of the beach which was cleaned on a daily basis. The walkway adjoining the beach was equally very pleasant and would suit people of all ages and was also wheelchair friendly.
There was a variety of small shops and restaurants near to the hotel with a good selection of larger shops and restaurants nearer to the town.
The pretty little harbour by the castle at Roquetas De Mar was quite a good walk from the hotel, but public transport and taxis were available if there was any need to explore the area. A bus service was available to transport people to nearby Aguadulce and into Almeria.
The hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean, there was a good variety of food served buffet style, the indoor pool was small but adequate and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The weather at this time of year was warm and sunny which added to the pleasantness of this short winter break.
Roquetas De Mar was a quiet place serving mostly mature people from many nationalities during our stay.
We would definitely return to this area again at this time of year!
