Negril: We flew into Kingston and then took the shuttle to Negril because our flight was canceled. Wow! What an experience. Pretty country, but you stop at a grocer on the way (to pick up supplies, use bathrooms, etc.) and there's a place out back for buying and smoking ganga. Those who partake are wasted the rest of the way and can be a pain in the ass.

We stayed at a Sandals Resort. Not as nice as they appear in pictures, but the people who worked there couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I recommend upgrading to Concierge Service. This way, you bypass all the B.S. when you arrive and go straight to registering in a private office. The food isn't great, but it's plentiful. And who could turn down the free booze 24/7?

Negril is much quieter than other parts of Jamaica. I felt pretty safe on tours. The shopping isn't much to speak of. Of course, if you like Jamaican Blue Mtn. coffee, buy tons of it. It's about 200% more to buy online.

All in all, a good trip for the money!
