Recently stayed on Maui at Kapaula Gold Villas. Staff was very accomadating. In our 3 bedroom villa the air conditioning broke and there wasen't another gold 3 br available so they put us up in a 2 and 1 bedroom villas that were near each other. This worked out wonderful for us. At the Kapaula Villas you have priviledges at the Ritz Carlton. It could become a bit windy but overall the weather was wonderful. We had the one bedroom villa and it was spacious and well appointed. The view was outstanding. Pools are spread thru out the villas and were easy to get to. There is a shuttle to take you to the Ritz or anywhere else on the property you want to go. Snorkeling at Kapaula Bay and Black Rock was wonderful. Especially good for the beginner. The Pineapple Grill was a great place for dinner. Our waitor was very knowledgeable on the food and how it was prepared and on wine selections. We would definitely stay here again. The down side to Maui is how expensive it is. We had a private chef and he was well worth it. He did all our shopping for us, prepared and served the meal and cleaned up. He came in 2 nights for sit down dinners and the rest of the meals were premade and all we had to do was put them together and cook or warm them up. We had a great time!!
