One of my favorite places to be is Portugal, Lisbon. It is a very special, legendary city with great history. A city set on seven hills with fairytale palaces, old castles and magnificent churches. Legendary cafes, restaurants and bars; good shopping, exiting nightlife and interesting museums; antiquated and trendy, lively and melancholic – all that is unique capital in Europe - Lisbon.
The oldest quarters in Lisbon are situated on the hill around St. George’s Castle, Alfama and Mouraria. It is very original, eclectic neighborhood with many small cafes and restaurants. You can have an unforgettable experience if you stay there how I did. I have rented a very nice, light, small flat through lisbonoasis.com. The best way to discover Lisbon and Alfama is to get lost in its narrow streets and up and down roads! Every narrow street will tell you a different story and every story will reach to your heart easily! And of course, do not forget to visit St. George´s Castle, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lisbon!
