we did death valley on a coach trip from las vegas. The destination itself was a pretty spectacular site. However, nothing compared to the grand casnyon that we had seen the day before.
I'm reslly basing this review on our death valley visiting experience as opposed to the destination alone. With this said I'd like to strongly discourage the coach trip from vegas as it takes up most of the day. It is a full day trip with about 30 mins viewing of death valley. As a result, i'd have to say this wasn't an amazing day out stuck in a coach all day and unfortunately as a result the appeal and sites of death valley were brought down as well.
Would be interesting to see death valley from somewhere closer.
