We stayed in Barcelona for 3 days which on reflection was about the correct length of stay to see the sights and sample the atmosphere of the city. Sightseeing notables included the Neu Camp stadium, Palace of the Sagrada Family and Guell Parc. Outside of these attractions we didn't feel the destination was particularly impressive for tourist sites.

Our overall impression of Barcelona was a bit dissapointing. The weather was poor which didn't help with the atmosphere but in general there isn't a great deal to do. The famous Las Ramblas was overated (just a street with some stuff going on) and the city was pretty dirty (lots of litter).

The new waterfront and shopping complex by the dock was probably the city's best feature. However, all in all for such a highly regarded destination, we weren't immensly impressed with Barcelona.
