I visited Antwerp on a day trip during the summer and it seemed to be a lovely city, with plenty of things for everyone to do.
During my trip I visited a diamond factory, which was educational and well worth the entrance fee and I also had some free time to have a wander around the city and take in some of the sites. The city seemed to be very lively and had a pleasant atmosphere. My only regret is that we weren’t there for longer.
From what I did see during my day trip I would recommend Antwerp to anyone looking for a weekend break – there seemed more than enough to keep you occupied for at least a weekend. There were also plenty of street cafes and restaurants, in traditional Flemish styles.
I was with a party of 6 people and we all agreed that we would like to return to the city to be able to see more of the sights and take in more of its Flemish atmosphere
