Forget 2nd city this is by far the best city in oz. Lovely people, weather, bars, restuarants, transport this place has everything. St Kilda is one of thest places to stay in melbourne

I stayed in various hostel accommodation whilst in Melbourne and it was amongst the most overcrowded and poorest of my east coast travels. I can't complain about Melbourne itself, but this really but a 'downer' on what should have been a great experience.

Behind Sydney, Melbourne was my favourite city on the East of Australia. There are plenty of bars & restaurants and no shortage of shopping options!!

Well worth a visit and a close 2nd (behind Sydney) for the best city in Australia. Fabulous Park (Melbourne Park) and plenty to do and see in this city. I visited Melbourne during the Aussie Open tennis. As a tennis fan this was a great experience and added to the overall buzz of Melbourne.
