Sao Tome and Principe is a Portuguese-speaking island nation in the Gulf of Guinea (off the W equatorial coast of Africa). It consists of two islands: Sao Tome and Principe and is the second smallest nation in Africa.
The islands are graced with palm-fringed beaches, crystal-clear water and barely explored jungles which make for a rewarding eco tourist adventure. Despite the country's potential as a popular tourist destination, only around 20 tourists per week venture here and those that do find a culture with an extremely relaxed pace of life. |
