Tingaki lies about 10 miles from the airport that has seen a lot of expansion in recent years. There's a large selection of small hotel and apartment blocks to be found here, but the shopping is quite poor and a trip into to Kos is recommended.
The long and sandy beach is one of the best on the island, offering a host of water sports, but the night time can be too quiet for some, as the entertainment is limited. This resort appeals to those seeking a relaxing beach holiday without great variety in the way of restaurants, nightlife or sights. There is a widely dispersed selection of small, often family-run hotels, many of them on the road down to the beach. A laid-back, relaxing resort which has expanded rapidly in recent years. The main bars and restaurants are situated along the central road, close to the beach front. Locality: On the N coast. 7 mls W of Kos Town. 9 mls NE of the airport. On a flat coastal plain with salt flats separating it from the neighbouring resort of Marmari. Pserimos Island is just off shore. |
