The Golden Falls (Also known as Gullfoss) is a magnificient 32m high double waterfall on the White River (Hvítá) and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. The flow of the river from the regular rains and the glacial runoff, particularly in summer, makes it the largest volume falls in Europe. Numerous tours take you along a Golden Circle that includes Gullfoss. Free parking, gift shop, and cafe all available from the local vicinity.

Geysir (sometimes referred to as the Great Geysir) is a spouting hot spring that is the namesake for all geysers in the world. It is also one of the most popular toursit attractions in Iceland.
First stories of the Geysir area can be found in documents from the year 1294 when earthquakes were frequent in the southern part of Iceland and caused the area to evolve to its current form. In the year 1630 the geysers in the area had so much power that the earth trembled when they spouted. As with many of the natural features in Iceland, many will be amazed at how close you can get to the geysers. Access is very unrestricted, you are not held behind guard rails and no officials warn you off. It is exhilarating to be able to be so close, and refreshing to be treated as an adult. The Perlan (also known as 'The Pearl' is a landmark building in Reykjavík. It is 25.7 metres (84.3 ft) high and was originally designed by Ingimundur Sveinsson. Perlan is situated on the hill Öskjuhlíð where there had been hot water storage tanks for decades. In 1991 the tanks were updated and a hemispherical structure placed on top.
Perlan has 10,000 cubic meters of exhibition space on the ground floor, known as the Winter Garden. It has hosted concerts by Icelandic artists such as GusGus and Emilíana Torrini as well as various expos and markets.
One of the water tanks at Perlan has recently been cleared out in order to hold the Saga Museum there. It tells you about the Icelandic sagas as well as some other history. It also shows you how Icelanders used to live and how they live now.
